How do use Solar Cell Modules to prolong their life?
No matter how good your solar cell design is, it won't last long without proper maintenance. You can take the following steps to extend its life:
Control the number of batteries.
Minimize the amount of battery you use in your bank. Using more batteries increases connections and resistance, which can cause uneven charging. Try to limit the number of batteries you use for your bank to 4 or fewer.
Do not leave the solar battery uncharged for a long time.
The solar battery may be damaged if it is not charged for a long time. Make sure your charging power is always on so the battery keeps charging.
Balance the solar cells.
Cell balancing is the process of overcharging solar cells in a controlled manner. Uneven battery charging can lead to sulfation on the plates. Overcharging eliminates this by outgassing. Our solar cells have a controller to avoid overcharging, so our products do not require this operation.
Use the correct type of solar cell.
Lithium batteries are more recommended as they can last up to 8 years. If they do not work properly due to the use of special waterproof plugs and connectors, they can be easily replaced. Make sure the lithium battery you use has a 12.8V or 25.6V rating to ensure it lasts longer and is cleaner and safer for the environment
